The high-memory of this silicon/rubber polymer can be banged on wrecks and rocks without any structural damage. Instead of running this material through the entire snorkel Cressi have placed a hypo-allergenic material for the mouth piece.
These days most people think that dry-tip snorkels with big purge valves are the best but it really depends on what you're doing. Dry-tips and purges tend to impede on the experience when freediving because water can get in through the purge. The problem with a dry-tip is they can shut at undesired times, the worst being right during your big breath-up, there's nothing worse than that source of air rudely shutting.
